Modern icon design
Corner radii & pixel snapping
Corner treatment and whole-unit coordinates keep icons crisp at every size.
Corners set the personality
A single, repeated corner radius ties a set together. Tiny radii (≈1–2 units on a 24 grid) read as "engineered"; larger radii read as "soft".
Pixel snapping
Vectors scale infinitely, but they're rendered to pixels. Keep coordinates and stroke widths on whole or half units so edges land cleanly on the pixel grid. Half-pixel positions are what make a 1px line look grey and fuzzy.
In this app
Enable snap to grid while drawing, and round your final coordinates. The editor rounds emitted coordinates to two decimals to keep the SVG tidy.
